On December 8, I had the pleasure of being part of a beautiful afternoon wedding celebration for Nhi and Jeremy at the Marina Del Rey in the Bronx. From our very first Zoom meeting, I knew this was going to be a special and exciting event. Nhi and Jeremy are such a fun and vibrant couple, and their wedding was a perfect reflection of their personalities and cultures.
The bride, Nhi, is Vietnamese, and the groom, Jeremy, is Chinese. They honored their heritage by wearing traditional wedding attire during part of the celebration. Nhi looked stunning in her Áo dài đỏ (the traditional Vietnamese red wedding dress), and Jeremy wore a regal Tang suit (a traditional Chinese red suit). For many Asian-style weddings, it’s common for the bride and groom to change attire at some point during the event, transitioning from traditional outfits into a white wedding dress and tuxedo. Nhi and Jeremy chose to begin their celebration in their traditional attire, mingling with guests during the cocktail hour overlooking the water. I even got to take a picture with them 🙂
After the cocktail hour, guests moved into the dining room, where the energy truly kicked up a notch. Nhi and Jeremy changed into a classic white wedding dress and tuxedo for their grand entrance. We introduced the wedding party and then the newlyweds, who immediately took to the dance floor for their first dance. The couple performed a choreographed routine, which you could tell they put a lot of practice into. The guests were thrilled, and their enthusiasm set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. c
Adding to the magic of the day, the couple included sparklers during their entrance, creating a dazzling atmosphere. Guests were treated to unique surprises, including a magician who performed during dinner, leaving everyone in awe. Our photo booth was another hit, with friends and family capturing fun memories throughout the event.
One of the most touching moments came at the end of the celebration. For the final song, “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” Nhi and Jeremy shared a special dance in the center of the floor, surrounded by their guests forming a big circle. It was a beautiful way to close out an unforgettable celebration.
This wedding was truly one for the books. From honoring their traditions to surprising their guests with unforgettable moments, Nhi and Jeremy crafted a day that was as unique and vibrant as their love story. Thank you for letting DJ Live be a part of it!
