On July 13, we had the pleasure of providing the entertainment for Joe and Nicole’s wedding at the beautiful Hollow Brook. This wedding was particularly special to me, as Joe is a long-time friend and personal trainer at a local gym. I was thrilled when Joe and Nicole booked us after seeing me perform at another event. Their excitement was infectious, and I knew this would be a memorable celebration.
For their big day, we were contracted to provide music for both the cocktail hour and the reception. We brought sound equipment, upgraded lighting for the dance floor, and uplighting around the room. The uplighting added a magical touch, transforming the ambiance from a warm, intimate mood during dinner to a vibrant, fun atmosphere for dancing.
One of the night’s highlights was when Joe’s friends from Buffalo made a big circle and had a blast dancing to the song “Shout.” It was a fantastic moment that brought everyone together on the dance floor. The energy was incredible, with guests dancing non-stop and giving enthusiastic “Joe Riley” shout-outs.
Adding to the excitement, both Joe and Nicole made an appearance on the drums, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone. Russ, the groom from a previous wedding we did, kicked off the party by holding up a huge sign, setting the tone for an evening of pure celebration.
Joe and Nicole’s friends, particularly “Table 5,” brought the energy, leading the way to the dance floor all night. Another amazing highlight was when Dancing Larry from the NY Rangers made a surprise appearance!! He brought some NHL electrifying party vibes to the dance floor, much to Joe’s surprise and excitement, as he is a HUGE Rangers fan.
The Hollow Brook lived up to its stellar reputation, delivering excellent service and delicious food. The dance floor was packed all night, and even at the end, the bus driver was left wondering if anyone would ever come out to get on the bus!
Overall, Joe and Nicole’s wedding was a tremendous success. We had an amazing time celebrating with them and their guests, and we’re grateful to have been a part of their special day.
