Last night, we celebrated Lauren and Brandon’s wedding at the Glen Island Harbor Club in New Rochelle, and let me tell you, this Irish-infused celebration was a night to remember! From my very first conversation with this couple, I knew this was going to be an event for the record books. Lauren and Brandon were recommended to me by the Glen Island team, and it was an absolute honor to be part of their big day. Every detail, from the telephone guest book to the last song of the night, contributed to the magic.
Initially, Lauren and Brandon had booked us for cocktail hour and the reception, adding some night lighting and a photo booth. Later, they decided to add a live saxophone, which turned out to be a great decision. The sax brought an extra layer of energy to the party, and the guests were captivated. I also brought my drums, completing the “DJ Live” experience, which elevated the entire night.
As I made my way down to the cocktail hour, I could already feel the excitement in the air. The energy in that room was electric, and when the ballroom doors finally opened, guests flooded in dancing, setting the tone for the night. The wedding party introductions were a blast, too, with the bridesmaids entering as a group, then the groomsmen, and finally Lauren and Brandon—who made a grand entrance that brought the whole room to its feet.
From that moment on, the dance floor was packed, and the energy only climbed higher. “Meet Me on McLean,” an Irish classic, was a huge hit, especially with Brandon and Lauren’s family and friends. The crowd swayed and sang along, adding a touch of Irish pride that made the night feel even more epic. One of my favorite moments was when some of Brandon’s friends spontaneously lifted the bride and groom in chairs. It had everyone laughing, cheering, and snapping pictures.
Of course, I couldn’t have asked for a better crowd to keep the energy going all night. There was a special moment when both Lauren and Brandon hopped on the drums with me! Seeing them so happy was absolutely awesome. These are the kinds of memories that make weddings so unique, and I’m thrilled I could help make it happen.
To wrap up this incredible night, we ended with a crowd favorite, “Take Me Home Tonight.” With everyone on the dance floor singing along, it was the perfect way to close out their celebration.
Lauren and Brandon, thank you for letting me be part of your beautiful day. May your journey together be filled with as much fun and love as we felt last night. Sláinte! 🥂
